What is Marine Toys for Tots?
Marine Toys for Tots is an official program of the U.S. Marine Corps, which collects new, unwrapped toys to distribute to needy children. First created in 1947, the annual toy donation campaigns run from October to December across the country. Every year sees millions of brand new toys delivered to millions of children in need.
5 Years of Smiles: Highlights
2024 marked the fifth year that Batteries Plus partnered with Toys For Tots. In the previous four years, the company donated almost 400,000 batteries. To mark the fifth year, our goal was to reach 1,000,000 for the first time and, thanks to our extensive presence in communities across the country, we donated over 1 million batteries!
All of this was possible thanks to our customers. Speaking to Franchising Magazine USA , Batteries Plus CEO Scott Williams said:

Batteries Plus franchisees, always looking out for their communities, were particularly impactful during 2024's event. The record goes to Todd Williams of Knoxville, TN. And there were multiple, in-person donation events at Batteries Plus stores across the country.
